Following a successful era of growth and development under the leadership of Ilkka Palola, Prohoc sets its course towards new unchartered waters with Kimmo Kohtamäki taking the helm at the industrial services group. As we welcome Kimmo as our new CEO, we are also happy to announce that Ilkka will resume at Prohoc and take on a key executive board role as Chief Information Officer (CIO), leading the digital transformation and ESG initiatives at Prohoc.

As a seasoned industry leader, Kimmo brings Prohoc vast amount of global experience in the industrial services business. Having worked in several leadership positions within Wärtsilä, Fortum and latest as CEO in a renewable industry service company Bladefence, Kimmo has a solid background to take Prohoc to a completely new level.

”I’m excited to join the Prohoc Group growth story. Prohoc is well positioned to support some of the leading technology companies and innovative owner – investors. This gives a solid platform to expand, both in terms of service scope and market area.

I want to thank Prohoc Board of Directors for the trust and I’m looking forward to working with them, our amazing Prohoc team and all the great customers towards a safer, happier and more sustainable future”

Riitta Niemelä
Chief Financial Officer and executive board member Riitta Niemelä

We are equally happy to announce the appointment of Riitta Niemelä as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and executive board member. Riitta brings us a great amount of experience both from the governance and financial management scrutiny of a publicly listed company, having previously held the CFO position at Duell Oyj, and understanding of ours and our customers business by working earlier in different financial management positions at former Citec.

With the new executive team members Prohoc strengthens its capabilities as global partner to OEM’s and asset owners, aiming to take further steps in global service footprint by both organic and inorganic growth initiatives. As we want to go hand in hand with our customers, we will see further investments in building global service networks, developing further from our current footprint in Nordics, Continental Europe, UK, Central and South Americas.

Another main initiative is to further invest in our service development, meaning especially global field service resourcing and project management contracting services. As we are currently taking these services to market, its great now to get Kimmo’s and Riitta’s experience in scaling business and operations. We see a lot of opportunities in both of our main customer segments, technology OEMs and Owner-Investors, for bringing these new services to support the successful and sustainable businesses they are running.

“It is equally critical to continue investing in our people. We need to have the best doers both in Finland and in our new local entities abroad, and that means training and development, new career opportunities for talents and newcomers.”, says Kimmo Kohtamäki

Prohoc aims to be at the forefront in driving Industry 5.0 initiatives. ”We have a lot of ambition to become the best version of ourselves and to be able to support our customers globally. Our main carbon handprint goal is to be one of the enablers of a sustainable future, and we can do that in the best way by helping our customers to succeed in decarbonizing their industries. We believe we can achieve this together.” Says Matti Manner, Chairman of the Board, Prohoc.

Please join us in welcoming Kimmo and Riitta to Prohoc and wishing all three the best success in their new roles.
