Prohoc strengthens its position and service offering by agreeing with Wärtsilä Finland Oy to take over production facilities vacated by Wärtsilä in the Järvikatu industrial area in Vaasa. The expansive area of over 7,000 square meters provides Prohoc versatile and adaptable premises to further develop and scale our services.

The agreement between Prohoc and Wärtsilä, concluded this fall, covers the so-called W20 hall and logistics center facilities. These include more than 6,000 square meters of highly adaptable production space with a ceiling height of nearly 10 meters and lifting capacities of up to 30 tons. Additionally, approximately 900 square meters of office space will be available.

The new facilities enable us to offer a broader range of services, support more efficient daily operations, and deliver valuable benefits to customers. At the same time, we have new opportunities to expand our partnerships, both with existing and new partners, fostering innovative and customer-focused solutions.

We can create new business opportunities and develop our services for both existing and new customers, for example, with industrial product assembly and maintenance services,” explains Jari Saaranen, Prohoc’s Head of Business, Operations and Maintenance Services.

Enhanced production and improved services in new facilities

Prohoc’s expansion brings clear benefits to our customers. The Järvikatu industrial area facilities allow more flexible and efficient production processes. The increased space enables handling larger and heavier equipment for maintenance services, ensuring safe and high-quality execution.

Prohoc now has now resources to carry out a wide variety of industrial product assembly operations and to innovate new solutions tailored to our customer needs.

Our upcoming state-of-the-art operational environment for operations and maintenance will better serve our customers and create new opportunities for mutual business development. The modern logistics hall also offers ample storage space, enhancing spare part management and meeting urgent delivery needs. This enables us to respond more comprehensively to the demands of industrial assembly and maintenance services—all under one roof,” Saaranen describes.
